Tego Advanced I2C / Power Development Kit

The Tego development kit is ideal for hardware developers and tag designers using the advanced capabilities of the TegoChip platform, including I2C interface to other devices or power input/output.

With its ability to interface to a wide range of I2C available devices and to communicate with Gen 2 UHF readers, the TegoChip GW is an ideal solution for implementing wireless sensing and control solutions that are compatible with everyday infrastructure.

Using the development kit, designers have interfaced the TegoChip GW to devices that include controls, sensors, microcontrollers, (e-ink style) displays and even LEDs.

In some cases, because of its advanced power harvesting capabilities, designers have used the TegoChip not just to communicate with external devices but to power them. Other designers are providing external power to the TegoChip to develop semi-passive solutions with enhanced range performance. The development kit is ideal for both of these approaches.

Each development kit includes:

• RFID reader compatible with USB interface
• Test software
• Development board with signal breakouts
• 25 TegoChip GW devices with I2C capability (TQFP package)
• Extended chip documentation (interfacing and power)
